Not a watered-down first year but a deliberate run-up, taught in the same studios as JCA's degree courses, built to get you ready for whichever degree comes next.
The Foundation Diploma is designed for students who want to explore the range of fashion disciplines — design, accessories, communication, business — before committing to a specialism. You work in the same studios, with the same tutors, as the degree students. At the end of the year, you progress directly into year one of whichever JCA degree you choose.
Direct applications are accepted — you do not need to go through UCAS for the Foundation Diploma. Call or email admissions to start the conversation.
Progression Routes
Foundation Diploma students who meet the progression requirements can progress onto any JCA degree: BA Fashion Design Branding & Entrepreneurship, BA Fashion Design and Accessories, BA Fashion Communication, or BSc Fashion Management and Strategy. Your Foundation year experience helps you choose.
